Haven Lighting Track & Clip Modification Concept

Hi Chris McCoy and Haven team! I hope you’re all doing well.

I’ve made this page to see if I can help make Haven just a smidge better. Here’s my “Big Idea” that I came up with while installing my first 60ft of Haven X Series Genesis lighting.

Essentially the track already has a dimple at the ends of the U portion of the track. If we matched the dimple with the clips, installers could literally “Clip” or “Snap” the mounting clip to the track and hold it in place while installing.

This would (in theory) enable the installers to not have to hold the track, the clip, the drill AND the screw while installing. They could snap the track clip onto the track using friction and then have an easier time during install. (I know it would have helped me!)

Plain and simple, the easier it is to install, the more sales you’re going to end up getting because installers and companies will enjoy working with the product and try and sell more of it. It’s also just an easy win on improving your already awesome product.

Working above your head on a ladder carrying tools is already challenging as is, pair that with being on a pitch or for people (like me) who are afraid of heights, it’s just one more thing to juggle in an already stressful situation.
A simple dimple in the clips would shorten the install time by a ton. I dropped at least 3 clips during my install and had to climb down the ladder, go retrieve or fetch another from my tool belt. This change in your manufacturing would help to eliminate this problem.

As you can see in the video, my kids (5 and 3) were PUMPED to say the least about the Haven X Series Genesis lighting on the house. They love picking the colors and patterns on the app and seeing it on the house. I can’t wait to finish the project.
